Programming
Every single STEM student was required to learn the coding language "Python". We learned it by taking an online course on codeacademy.com . There are many different types of coding languages, but we found it most useful to learn python because we were supposed to use this language to program the robots we were going to build. Unfortunately most groups did not have enough time to start building the robots. Python involves many different codes and phrases that basically tell the program or computer what to do.
Reflection
I strongly believe that this was one of the most frustrating activities I have ever done in my life! At some points I just felt like screaming or throwing my computer on the ground. From doing this project I have learned that patience really is a virtue. I also learned that even though you might want to give up, you should persevere and remember to never give up. The best feeling was when I finally finished the entire course. Even though it said that the course estimated time was 13 hours, I am more than positive that I spent way longer than that trying to learn this code. One thing I struggled with was not reading the directions very carefully. Sometimes I would go through and read them again and I would immediately discover what I was doing wrong. By doing this project I have learned that at times I should try to be more patient, but I know that I am not the type who is going to give up.
